The Restaurant

The Restaurant is located right next to the Guest House and offers an á la carte menu, fully licensed ladies bar, and a lovely warm fireplace. The Restaurant serves breakfast, as well as a variety of dishes during the day. Our menu includes favourites such as jaffles, bobotie, potjiekos, lamb lovers platter with preserves as well as homemade soup and bread. For a sweet treat, try our selection of cakes, lemon meringue or warm malva pudding.

During Flower Season, The Nedersetting Restaurant offers a buffet at R185 per person. For starters, you can help yourself to a choice of soups and a selection of breads. This is followed by the mains buffet which features a choice of at least three meat dishes (one of which is guaranteed to be our local mouth-watering lamb) and a selection of starches and vegetables. Please leave room for dessert – on offer will be a warm baked pudding or something deliciously sweet to finish off a perfect meal.

Not a meat lover? Substitute the mains for one the following from our á la carte menu:

• Bobotie served with yellow rice and sweet peaches
• Chicken or fish fillet – help yourself to the vegetables and starches from the buffet
• Tripe and trotters – a Nedersetting specialty sure to impress
• Steak grilled to choice, always juicy and tender
• Vegetarian options will also be available

In order to avoid disappointment, please note that booking is absolutely essential.

After enjoying a delicious meal, please free to browse the shelves of the shop, filled with our homemade preserves, local rooibos teas and miscellaneous gifts and curios carefully sourced both locally and from far away. Note that the Restaurant is equipped with Wi-Fi and card facilities.
